FuturePorts congratulates founding Board Member and Treasurer Fran Inman on her appointment by Governor Schwarzenegger to the California Transportation Commission! Below is an excerpt from the announcement from the Governor's office

Fran Inman, 64, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Transportation Commission. Since 1996, she has been senior vice president of Majestic Realty. Previously, Inman was principal of Inman and Associates from 1989 to 1996, vice president of Management Resources from 1985 to 1988 and a broker for Bishop Hawk from 1984 to 1985. She is a member of the executive committee and immediate past chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, member of the Public Infrastructure Advisory Commission, San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, vice president of the California Business Properties Association Board of Directors, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Board of Directors and founding member of FuturePorts. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Inman is a Republican.

FuturePorts is recipient of US EPA Environmental Justice Achievement Award

FuturePorts was recently notified by the US Environmental Protection Agency that the organization was named as a recipient of the US EPA's Environmental Justice Achievement Award for its role as a stakeholder in the Clean Trucks Program. As a participant in the Clean Air Action Plan Stakeholder Group, FuturePorts has provided input and represented its members in the process of developing the Clean Trucks Program.
